Old Hickory Golf Tournament

Ever wondered what is was like to play golf 125 years ago? Wonder no more and sign up for the Old Hickory Tournament, a two-day tournament where on you'll play the original layout of Victoria Golf Club (14 holes) with some of the original equipment on Day One. Then on Day Two you'll play the current course layout with the most advanced equipment available. This is meant to be a fun tournament open to everyone.

Date: Saturday, November 3
Time: Tee off (shotgun) at 11 am
Location: Victoria Golf Club
Format: Shamble. Teams of four will play a two best net ball after playing the best drive on each hole.
Course Layout: On Day One players will play the original 14 hole layout. 
Member Price: $125 per player 

Dress Suggestions and Other Details

Players can wear any golf gear they would like to. However, in order to keep up with the spirit of the tournament, we encourage you to try and dress as players would likely have dressed back in 1893. It is perfectly understood that women may not want to wear full length dresses. So we have posted some images above to give you some ideas of what you could wear.
​Note: There will be a special prize for the best dressed team that you won't want to miss out on. 
Banquet: The tournament banquet will take place on the evening of November 3 in the main dining room at VGC.

VGC Junior Tournament

Tournament Details

​Date: Sunday, July 15th
Time: 2:00 pm – Play 10 holes of golf followed by dinner at the Club.
Format: Fun Best Ball format with lots of on course competitions (closest to the pin, long drive, long putt etc.). 
Cost: $25pp includes BBQ dinner, prizes and on course treat stations
Signup: Please contact the Pro Shop to sign up for this tournament.
Awesome On Course Fun: There will be an on course candy station and drink station (w/ ice cream floats on the 7th tee). There will also be a putting and chipping contest before play begins at 2:00 pm. 
We encourage parents to be there to chaperone some of our younger juniors so they can play too.
